An Oakland, California native, I grew up listening to all sorts of music. While playing in and forming groups in the east bay, I developed a love for recording and engineering.

I was fortunate to learn under the mentorship of Scott Metcalfe and Ed Tetreault, two of the most thoughtful and talented recording engineers. While in college, I spent time outside of school recording sessions and leading the audio team at Keystone Korner, where both emerging and grammy winning jazz artists regularly perform. In addition to Keystone, I worked as an engineer on location, in live settings, and in the studio.

After Baltimore, I spent the better part of two years in Durham, North Carolina and worked as a house engineer out of NightSound Studios and Manifold Recording. During this time I fell in love with Appalachian music and bluegrass. I am at home recording indie bands, jazz combos, chamber music, orchestras, and folk. I particularly love capturing the powerful and fleeting energy of live performances.
